Tracey Deutsch, an associate professor in the Department of History at the University of Minnesota, teaches and researches in the fields of the history of capitalism, twentieth-century U.S. history, food studies, and gender, women's, and sexuality studies. She is the author of Building a Housewife's Paradise: Gender, Politics, and American Grocery Stores in the Twentieth Century (University of North Carolina Press, 2010) and essays on mass retailing, consumption, and food politics.
