Firepit chain

Wrought iron chain used by members of the Grand Portage Chippewa (ca. 1850–1920) to suspend kettles over a fire during the processing of maple sap.

First airplane flight over Minneapolis

An airplane piloted by Alexander T. Heine flies over Minneapolis, 1913. In that year, Heine became the first person to fly a plane over downtown Minneapolis.

First American Legion Convention Button
