Brigadier general’s uniform worn by William Gates LeDuc

United States Army brigadier general's double-breasted wool flannel frock coat. It was worn during the Civil War by Brigadier General William Gates LeDuc, who served in the quartermaster's department throughout the war. The coat has quilted cotton lining, a velvet faced collar and cuffs, brigadier general's shoulder straps, and gilded brass general-staff buttons.
